Sometimes, writer, life stinks. It does. Things go wrong and plans fail that foul our thoughts and mood. But you know what? Our King has a solution for that. And that solution is YOU. Look at this…
“For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing…” – 2 Corinthians 2:15

This is good news, writer! We have a fragrance. And guess what? Your words do, too. Those happenings that befoul, the unpleasant people who are present, they don’t have as much power to besmirch your day…as you do to uplift theirs…if you let yourself.
Because here’s the thing, writer. We can choose what fragrance we release, or should I say how MUCH we release. Doubtless, even if you hurry past that one who’s unpleasant, they still might notice you were different. They might notice you didn’t retaliate like others. But what if you released your fragrance—the words God gives you—instead?
Because here’s the other thing, writer—whatever we choose to release in blessing—blesses and enriches us, too.
So I encourage you today! If it seems that life is starting to stink, choose to release the fragrance of Christ into your life and other’s through your words and deeds. Then pick up your pen and write again, knowing your words, your presence, your fragrance are a change agent in this world, spreading the sweetness of Our King!
