Have you ever asked yourself this question, writer?
What does man gain by all the toil at which he toils under the sun? – Ecclesiastes 1:3
Essentially, the writer of Ecclesiastes asks—is it worth it? Is life worth living? Are books worth writing?
If you have asked yourself that question, I encourage you, today…the answer is a resounding “YES!” And this is why…
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. – Isaiah 40:8
Isn’t that beautiful, writer? The Word of God never changes. And it never ends. Every Word of our King bears fruit. Eternally. Forever.
Now, here is the interesting thing, writer. When we sit down to write, we can partner with the powerful words of our eternal King and express His everlasting truth. So, how do we do it?
When we shift our eyes off of our lives and circumstances and onto the Lord, filling up with His presence and His Word, we will begin to see our lives and our world differently. And out of us will flow His presence and words…onto our pages and into the lives of everyone around us! Isn’t that good news? It reminds me of this verse…
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. – 2 Corinthians 3:18
Now, that has an eternal value! Eternal life is to know Him. So, every moment we take to know Him and make Him known is a moment that we are creating something that will last forever!
Praise be to our glorious King!
