Experience Writing 2025 GRACE!

This year we had an amazing time at Experience Writing 2025 as 30 authors gathered for inspiration, instruction, and community to learn how to partner with the GRACE of God to reveal His glory as they write, finish, and publish their books!

Here are a few of this year’s highlights…

Instruction:

Every session this year was filled with targeted insights designed to activate each attendee in their writing journey through instruction, inspiration, live Q&A’s, and discussion-rich workshops!

Laurel Thomas—Laurel, novelist and coach of Write Your Heart Out!, helped us discover and step into our roles as Gatekeepers of God’s glory in “Grace for the Gatekeeper” as she uncovered our holy calling to reveal God’s unique glory. Then in “Untethered: An Invitation to Dance,” she taught us how to integrate our writing and our walk with the Lord to open untapped wells of creativity. Finally, in “Grace for Identity,” Laurel taught us how to begin walking out our role as gatekeepers in the context of community.

Janice Buswell—Janice, co-founder of Experience Writing and Paradoxon series novelist, walked us through “Finding Grace” and showed us how to lean into God’s grace to accomplish far more than we ever could have imagined. On day two, she encouraged us with “Comfort for a Writer’s Soul” with practical insights to navigate our chaotic world as writers.

In between each and every session, attendees participated in workshops
to dig deeper and find personal applications points for all that they
were learning!

Connection:

There was such an atmosphere of family and “home” this year at the conference! The connections were deep and rich as we shared during the workshop sessions, and conversations spilled over into our extended meal times new friendships were born and old ones deepened.

Our Professionals Meet-n-Greet was a joyful event with top-notch industry pros who offered their expertise and perspective to attendees navigate the world of editing, publishing, marketing, and more! This year’s professionals included…

Mark Moore, Darkhorse Photography
Dee Selby, Format My Stuff
Cheyenne Alexander, CMA Proofreading
Rachel Bradley, Revisions by Rachel
Jill Archie, ARC Publishing
Gina Conroy, Release the Writer

We also had excellent out-of-state pros represented, including Jim Holmes of Great Writing Services, and Staci Mauney of Prestige Prose!

Inspiration:

By far, the greatest thing about this year’s GRACE conference was the presence of God among us and the space the Lord had to speak to, heal, and unlock writers hearts to move full-speed ahead in their writing journey! Our writers gave some amazing reviews and testimonies on day two of what the Lord had begun to do! Here are just a few of them…

I have been fed in every way, met new author friends, and have found more of my people, as in Christian Creatives. –Sarah L. Frantz

I love the deep-dives into subjects that pertain specifically to Christian writers. That’s something you just don’t get at other conferences! –Dagny

Conference was amazing! Thank you for the journey. For helping me to discover truth. –Kristy Werner

Thank you so much. It was the best conference ever. I was encouraged so much. –Danene
