Our Speakers

Robin Patchen

Robin Patchen

Robin Patchen is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author of Christian romantic suspense. She grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, the setting of her Nutfield Saga books, and then headed to Boston to earn a journalism degree. After college, working in marketing and public relations, she discovered how much she loathed the nine-to-five ball-and-chain. After relocating to the Southwest, she started writing her first novel while she homeschooled her three children. The novel was dreadful, but her passion for storytelling didn’t wane. Thankfully, as her children grew, so did her writing ability. Now that her kids are adults, she has more time to play with the lives of fictional heroes and heroines, wreaking havoc and working magic to give her characters happy endings. When she’s not writing, she’s editing or reading, proving most of her life revolves around the twenty-six letters of the alphabet.

Laurel Thomas

Laurel Thomas

A former high school English teacher, Laurel Thomas loves words and their power to convey remarkable stories. "River's Call" is an award-winning novel based in the deep South. History and the fantastic mesh in her fantasy series, "When Stars Brush Earth" and "Stones of Promise," published by Wild Rose Press.

When she’s not with family or roaming the halls of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation as chaplain, she’s doing what she loves most – crafting stories of ordinary characters rising up against impossible odds to achieve the extraordinary.

Through "Write Your Heart Out!" and WriterCon Oklahoma City, she teaches and supports other multi-published industry professionals who equip writers for success through national conferences and weekend intensives.

Lindi Collins

Lindi Collins

Lindi's passion in life is cultivating her creativity and helping others to do the same. She desires to speak into the lives of those she encounters and help them realize their calling and full creative potential.

Armed with a flower and scissors, Lindi built a multiple six-figure wedding floral design company, The Bridal Garden, from scratch. Lindi has traversed the country and back again, leaving blooms in her wake.

Along the way, Lindi started another company and blog and recently self-published a bookazine, My Mayberry Lane. Lindi loves spending time with her family when she isn't chasing her next creative endeavor.

Janice Buswell

Janice Buswell

Janice Buswell is a multi-talented communicator, speaker, author of the Paradoxon series, and blogger behind Radical Simplicity. Her passion for stories began when she discovered they are one of the powerful keys God uses to unlock the truth in the hearts of His people. In her book series, the beauty and depth of classic literature collides with the power of modern themes in an altogether paradoxical journey.

When Janice is not writing, she loves to spend her time with emerging authors in one-on-one coaching, phone calls, coffee dates, speaking engagements, and through her role as co-founder of Experience Writing and the director of their yearly conference. There are few things that make her happier than seeing writers unleashed to tell the stories that only they can!
