Experience Writing 2026 PATIENCE!
This year, we had an amazing time at Experience Writing 2026 as 31 authors learned how to build strength and personal strategies to reach publishing and beyond!

Instruction:
Every session this year was designed to equip and strengthen attendees with fresh perspective through instruction, inspiration, live Q&A’s, and discussion-rich workshops!
- Laurel Thomas—Laurel, novelist and coach of Write Your Heart Out!, helped us discover the mindset needed to navigate the first draft of every story in Messy Beginnings. Then in, Grounded but Not Tethered, she taught the balance between discipline and imagination that would cause our creativity to soar! Finally, in the Vernacular of Heaven, Laurel demonstrated the multiplied impact that comes from harnessing the vernacular of Heaven in your writing and life!
- Janice Buswell—Janice, co-founder of Experience Writing and Paradoxon series novelist, kicked off the conference with The Anatomy of Patience as she explained the true source and power of patience that any writer can tap into. The conference closed as she equipped us with the Biblical three-step pattern of patience guaranteed to pave the way toward our writing dreams in How to Wait: Stewarding a Word from God!
As the conference closed, each attendee walked away with a written personal action plan to pursue their writing goals, plus tools and strategies to keep growing and improving as they go!
Connection:
This conference felt like “home” as attendees strengthened old friendships and forged new ones! Conversation was free and rich and full of creativity, as ideas, solutions, and encouragement multiplied through our workshops and lengthy meal times. Many looking for accountability, prayer, and writing partners walked away with friends they plan to keep in touch with as the conference ended!

By far, the greatest thing about this year’s PATIENCE conference was the presence of God among us and the space the Lord had to speak to, direct, and guide His writers hearts to move full-speed ahead in their writing journey!
