Writer, do you ever wonder if your work will make an impact? If your words will make a difference? I have good news for you, today! It’s both a promise and a command from our King. Here it is…
But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. – Acts 1:8 (AMPC)
Did you see that, writer? You may not feel very powerful, but every day when you get up out of bed, you do so as one who has been filled with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead! Here’s another promise about it…
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. – Romans 8:11
Isn’t that amazing? And that power isn’t for you alone—it’s expressly to help you be a witness!
Now, you may still not feel very powerful, but the things of the Spirit in you are activated by faith. So, if you aren’t feeling powerful, I encourage you to remember the great gift you’ve received and thank our King for it. Then move forward trusting He’s guiding you and strengthening you for the good work that He’s called you to!
As you passionately pursue His call for you—with His strength—you will make an impact!
