Writer, do you ever feel empty? As if you don’t have what it takes to continue? If you do, I want to encourage you today with a promise from our King…
“22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” – Ephesians 1:22-23
Did you see that, writer? Your King is over all things. There is nothing that doesn’t bow to Him. But that’s not all… Did you catch it? Our King is also IN all things. He fills all in all.
Now you may ask—what does it look for Him to fill all in all? Here’s a clue, writer. Let’s look again.
“And he… gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body…”
Do you see it? Our King fills all in all…in His Body. This is where His fullness dwells. So what does that mean? It reminds me of another verse.
“24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” – Hebrews 10:24-25
Here’s the thing, writer. We were not made go it alone. We were made to be part of a body—the beautiful body of our King. And while it may not be a perfect body, it is a place where His presence—His life—dwells. Where He grows us through one another as iron sharpens iron. It’s also a place of protection and of wisdom as He speaks through His people to encourage and challenge you. Because, here’s the other thing…
We all see a different piece of our King, and when we share what He’s given us and receive the piece He’s given others, our picture of Him grows fuller and fuller…and so do we. There is nothing like a testimony of what our King has done in the life of another to grow your expectation of what He will do in and through you!
So I encourage you today…if you are feeling empty…stop and see if you’ve been lacking connection with the Body of your King. Your King is waiting to meet you among His people and to fill you in a special way as He strengthens you by “what every joint supplies.” (Eph 4:16) And as you trust Him to guide you and grow you—in His body—you will be amazed at what He begins to do in and through you, too.

Many great connections from your recent workshop.
Blessings!
I am so glad to hear that, Charlene! I love it, too, and they are a fantastic group of writers! I think you will enjoy it! 🙂
