Good afternoon, writer!
Today I am reminding you of who your King made you to be. Sometimes on our writing journey, we can get in the weeds. We can get so sucked into the doing of writing–or the press of life–that we lose vision. We can forget why we started writing to begin with. And under the weight of our own words…we can lose the joy that sparked our journey.
If this sounds like you, writer, take heart! Your King has a solution for you! That solution is the Spirit He’s given us.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. – 2 Corinthians 3:17
Â
Isn’t that beautiful, writer? Your King has given you His Spirit to bring liberty. But what does that look like? Let’s see. If you feel a veil has been over your vision, the Spirit of the Lord is there to remind you:  you have been given free access to your King. You are no longer a slave, but a son! You may boldly approach the throne of grace to find mercy and help in time of need… And that is good news for more reasons than one.
Because here’s the thing… Â
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. – 2 Corinthians 3:18
Â
Isn’t that good news? The answer for clouded vision is to boldly gaze on our King. To seek Him. To remember who He is. And who He’s made us to be. As we do, we are changed into His very own identity and restored the vision He gave.
So, I encourage you today, writer, if you’ve been feeling lost in a fog. Let the Spirit remind you of who you are. You are a child of the Most High God. And you are a, writer. His writer. You have free access to the King of Kings. And you’ve been given full freedom to be the writer He’s created you to be.
